Our recent stay at this vacation rental was simply enchanting. Nestled on a private lake in the Sawtooth mountains only minutes from Lutsen Mountains and Grand Marais it is the ideal retreat! Emerson is quoted as saying that "life is a journey not a destination" well this home is both! The journey up into the this Mountain retreat is spectacular, but the serene lake setting is other-worldly. Being a quality-snob it was particularly rewarding to see the extreme attention to details the architect paid in setting this home on this magnificent site in relation to the water, the trees and the road. Even in the winter you can't see any neighbors and the views are overlooking Government land so you literally feel like you own the whole "vista". The construction method of this home continues to pay dividends the longer you reside in it. From the fully heated radiant floors throughout to the authentic field stone fireplace to the large Sauna. The over-scaled design allows for ample room for a large group in the 3 levels however community spaces abound! We will be booking our next vacation here again soon!

TRAVEL INFO
On your way to the resort you will drive on roads that are Forest Service Roads that are maintained by the residents on the lake to provide access to their properties. It is not a state highway, county road, or a city street. The road is maintained as a one lane road with a 20 mph speed limit to reduce the risk of head on collisions and to keep walkers safe as there are many curves and hills that limit line of sight. Please have situational awareness and further limit your speed if road conditions deteriorate due to rain or snow.
